SRL Classroom Components

Classroom Components that support Self-Regulated Learning

By providing opportunities for students to support SRL you will encourage and motivate students to become life-long learners. Students with high SRL are “Expert Learners”.  There are  5 main components that support the development of SRL in classroom, and by encouraging each of the component we can support student’s Self-regulated learning.



The 5 Classroom Components:

  1. Complex Tasks
  2. Choice
  3. Control over Challenge
  4. Cooperative Learning
  5. Self-Reflection
